Hi there,

I have a bom table in an assembly drawing with 48 items. I suppose to replace item 31 with a new part number, but I like to keep other item numbers the same. After I replaced item 31, it bumped up to item 48 and every other from item 32 shifted 1 down.

Is there any way that I can keep these items from shifting, because that cause me to change the BOM documentation.

Thanks much,
eti

I thought there was a config option
keep_item_numbers yes/no but I'm not
100% certain.

Take a look at this closed thread
which answers your question in a how to format.

I know this is a month after the initial question, but I seem to recall that Pro/Creo does the number of parts in the BOM based on order of first appearance in the model tree.

That is true unless you sort the BOM by a field.

I think you need to lock the BOM table, ten delete the old entry and the new one will go in at the top.
