Hello Experts,

One quick question in ProE format. I have inlcluded "&Description" in the format assuming it will bring the value of description entered in the Part. When I create a part, Input the Description Value say "test" in the part, Create a new drawing selecting the format in which I have kept &Description, The drawing will still show &Description in it. Why it is not getting the value Test ?

If I creating a drawing with format, then add the &Description to it and save as A0.drw then while opening select this as template, it pics the value of description entered in the part. But when I try to switch the sheets from A0 to A3, I have to consider formats and not templates.

Thanks in advance,

Sid

Try to enter "&description" into format. Pro/E is sometimes case-sensitive.

You must have added the part to the drawing before adding the format. You can't add the format, then add the part. This gets evaluated when the format in brought in and the parameters get validated. If the parameter doesn't exist, it will prompt you for it.

Parameters also need to be in table cells in a format.
