Hello,

When opening the assembly from workspace there appears a conflicts dialog box. The decription shows that Item w00020919 and w00020929_hv1 are not available at Workspace. But when open separately, the item opens without any hurdle. Can anyone explain What actually is happening behind the scene?

The first message is telling you that without adding all the instances from the family table Creo/Windchill won't let you change the parent and this message can be ignored.

The second message is because the instance is not in the Workspace, so when the assembly tries to retrieve it, it's not there. You can see a little option flag next to "continue" that probably says "Add to Workspace" It's been a while but I recall that is at least an option there.

Behind the scenes:

When you open the parent it has the family table inside it and can supply the information to instantiate the instance from that family table.

So, add the instance to the Workspace and the complaint should go away.
