Hi all,

I would like to create an animation which starts off with a solid view of my assembly and then changes to show a cross section through the assembly.

I know it's possible to change transparency of parts, but I would like an actual cross section halfway through, is this possible during an animation in Wildfire 5?

Thanks so much to anyone who can help!!

No I think It's not possible

Attached is one solution.

The first component in the assembly is packaged, all succeding components reference the first component. Create a xsection referencing a Assembly Datum plane. Create a snapshot. Drag the first component to the desired location for the xsection and create another snapshot. Use these snapshots in animation during a keyframe sequence.
