Hi all,
I have created a helix then with the use of datum planes created a rectangular sketch at the starting point.

When i sweep along a curve the rectangular sketch starts to point down, therfore creating a conical shape.

Any ideas very much appreciated as i am tearing my hair out and i don't have much left to lose :(

I can´t see the problem right in front of me, could be a guide control issue.

I would recommend you to create two helix curves, where the one has a radius to the inner corner of your rectangualar sketch and the other helix matching the outer corner.

If you create the sketch first you can use expressions from the sketch to control the radius of the two sketches.

If this ain´t what you had in mine, please explain your problem more precise

See the post by thomasroehrig in this thread: Thread561-68099

Trick is to use vector direction in swept options; choose the axial direction of your helix.

Many thanks. Managed to get EXACTLY what i needed with your help. Much appreciated :)
