Hopefully this is simple enough..

Im trying to mirror one set of bodies to another side. If you take a look at the picture, Im trying to mirror the left side across Plane 3. I can mirror it just fine, however that line is there. (The one I circled) How do I merge the 2 parts together?

When I click "Merge Solids" under the Mirror Options, it says "Failed to merge the newly generatedb body with the work piece."

Not sure what to do.. Thanks!

Why not create the horizontal piece full length, and then mirror just the side frame?

Wow. No idea why I didnt do that.

Thank you!! Carry on..

The reason the "merge solids" option may have failed is because the entire weldment may not have been able to merge... even though that piece should be.

You would have to let the body mirror occur without merging solids and then do a "combine" as the next step. Only combining those two bodies.

Nevertheless, I must agree with CBL, mirror just the side frame and let the horizontal be full length.
