Hi,

As ASME B31.3-2006 para 304, the equation is given for thickness calaculation of straight pipe under internal pressure. However to be precondition, the thickness is smaller than 1/6 OD must be satisfied. What's the equation that it is thicker than 1/6 OD?

Thanks!

?????????

Chapter IX, paragraph K304.1.2, but take heed of the entire chapter.

If I'm understanding davidlee97, he's asking "What's the formula for thick-walled pipes?"

I know this is a subject that has come up before. Searching on "thick wall" might give some previous responses.
