Hello,

I would like to buy an equipment under pressure (some rolling cylinder heated by saturated steam) without any ASME certificate, but with all the PED certificate (it is an european product, manufactured according European code).
Are there same states in the USA that accept PED as regulation for pressure equipment?

Thanks

No. CE-marking under 2014/68/EU isn’t accepted by state jurisdictions in the US. If this pressure vessel falls under the scope of the jurisdiction of the state where it will be put in service, typically ASME stamp is required. You can’t choose.

No. In USA is not accpeted.

Over 15 PSIG in USA requires ASME. It is worth asking the supplier if he can offer with ASME stamp. If the supplier is based in an EU country, he may have adopted PED as standard supply and offered you that.

Per ISO-4126, only the term Safety Valve is used regardless of application or design.
