Dear all,

I'm not really accustomed to precast piles. I need some help from you guys.

Does anyone please has an idea why the driven precast piles are not perfect square. (see attached drawing) Is it mandatory ?

Is there standard sizes and reinforcement for precast piles ?

Thank you.

I have never thought about it, but the slightly sloped sides may assist in casting and removal from the forms. That would depend on the formwork system used.

Different piling contractors often have slightly differing sizes, reinforcement, and capacities.

Thank you guys.

Is there any code or standard for the design of pile joints ?
