I recently changed my job, from working for EOR to work with Precast supplier. My tasks include designing precast elements such as hollow core, prestress beam, column, and etc.

In EOR, there are modeling and design software where columns and beams can be modeled, applied loads and design them. Unlike what I see in precast world, where loads have to be hand calculated for every beam, and design separately.

my question, is there any modeling and design software, where hollow core slabs, beams, column modeled, applied loads and design elements in one software, without jumping around spreadsheets, hand calcs, and prestress beam design programs?

Hi Al89,
Here is a list the of the recommended software:
Columns: PPC Column https://www.precastcomputing.com/
Slabs and Beams: Concise Beam http://www.blackmint.com/
Connections: Precast Connections Software https://www.precastcomputing.com/precast-connection-software/
I went through the same experience to switch to precast design but after sometime I liked so much. Make sure to be very familiar with the PCI manual.
Good Luck

I think many of the major software companies have some little known programs for design. The one I am aware of is Bentley owns Leap Presto
