Does anyone have any idea of the expected life on the pr optic in a Mits? We put one in earlier this year and they tell me at 550 beam on hrs the pr optic needs changed. I was expecting 1500 to 2000 from the sales pitch. Kind of salty at $1300 for the optic. Just trying to figure out if this is what I should expect in the future.

I believe we go by what our machine is set and that is 2000

PR life usually depends on the contamination levels in the resonator and optics care. On newer machines, one year from a PR is not uncommon. If you clean the PR yourself, try using 99.9% HPLC grade acetone or methanol as a final clean. This will help maintain low absorption.

Thanks for the input. It turned out that the PR didn't need changed at all, but that does help me expect when to change it.
