PQR D1.1 Diameter question

Hello All,

I have a question regards range of diameters when qualifying a PQR, if I run a PQR on 300NB STD pipe will the DIAMETER range on the WPS be unlimited. As long as the welder is qualified using the right diameter pipe for the job.

Example: if I was to do a PQR on 300NB pipe as long as the thickness was in range I than could use that PQR to weld 80Nb pipe? it is the position and thickness that has a range not diameter? NON CVN application.

The diameter ranges qualified based upon diameter tested are listed in table 10.9 of AWS D1.1.
