Hello again.

First, thank you very much Solid7.

I need to know if it is possible to create a powercopy with assemblies. For example create a powercopy to make a hole in a part and put a screw (DIN912).

Powercopy is used for CATPart's, this is a multi step operation -
1) the powercopy for the CATPart
2) Assembly design - could use a catalog to insert the screw
3) If you want the screw constrained to hole use Smart move, if not you could align them using snap.

Eventually a script could be written.

What license scheme do you have?

Derek

Some of this can be done with Product Templates. It requires a PKT license for creation, and a KT1 license for run-time.

Hi
Is it possible using macros to transfer holes from one cat part to another in assembly in catia V5?
Here is my requirement:
There is one assembly say die show assy. This assembly contains die shoe.CATPart and WearPlate.CATPart.
Wearplate is assembled on shoe.
I need to transfer holes on wearplate to die shoe.
Currently I have to do this activity manually.
For large assembly this takes a lot of time.
Thanks

I'm sorry for the above post.
I wanted to add new post.
By mistake I added in the existing one.
Sorry for the inconvience.
