Hello Guys,

I am facing a very basic problem with the Micrologix 1500.

It is powered via a power supply connected to the PLC via a power cord. When I power it up, I get power to the power supply and its green light turns on. But there is no sign of power on the PLC side. All lights are turned off (power, run, fault, force, etc...). The fuse is fine and I have almost nowhere to verify if I have power on the plc side. By opening the right-end cap on the plc side, I ve been able to see 5V and 10V DC on some of the wires.
Do you have an idea what power the power supply is supposed to bring to the PLC? What else could I check?

Ok, I should have seen that the power supply supplies 24VDC to the PLC. Outside of that, it doesn't give me information. I forgot to mention that I have a display (PanelView 600)fed from that power supply with 24VDC and it works properly.

If the PLC isn't getting 24v then it can only be a supply problem

If it is getting supply but isn't working (not even power light) then its time to get a new PLC

You could also refer to the troubleshooting section of the manual which gives these possibilities:

Verify proper line voltage and
connections to the controller.

This problem can occur
intermittently if power supply is
overloaded when output loading
and temperature varies.
