My company is currently potting the inside of an enclosure with an epoxy resin. The enclosure houses a PCB and a flag or LED indicator, however, if the potting gets on the flag it no longer functions properly. To combat this, the company has stopped potting the enclosures with the flag indicator. This is a problem because now there is moisure getting into the enclosure and killing the PCB. Would anyone have any suggestions of a way to keep the enclosure from getting moisture buildup?

Conformal coat the PCB.

Why is the potting compound effecting the LED? I often use clear compounds so that my LEDs can be seen while being submerged in water.

The potting doesn't effect the LED, it drips on the flag indicator so that it doesn't turn.

Oh, though the flag indicator mentioned was the LED. Can you place a clear plastic cap over the flag before potting, like the caps seen on hair spray or Windex bottles?
