When using Potassium Permanganate to oxidise Iron and Manganese, is there residual Potasium left in the water?

Of course there is. But remember that there may be some potassium in the water already. Potassium is naturally occuring. The amount of potassium added is also very small, 1-2 mg/l if I remember correctly.
