Posts that are linked to program

Like most programmers who've made the switch from Mastercam (or some other midrange) to NX, its good riddance. We have an orphaned seat of X2 that we use for updating legacy parts, but for the most part I've never looked back.(I do find myself missing circle mill occasionally but thats minor)
Recently though I've been missing the associativity MC has between a prog. and the machine group and it's linked post.
In the scatterbrained atmosphere of a job shop, I can at times have as many as four part files open. In bouncing around between jobs I have, on occasion, gone with the post "suggested" which is the last post selected for a different job. That I go with the wrong post is my mistake, I'm not blaming NX. Still if there someway to link them, it could save me some headache. Maybe another dependency group.

If you machine tool libraries, you can associate posts to each machine - then only the post for that machine are available when you post. Is that what you are looking for?

I'm sorry Mark, I don't understand. You're not talking about the "tool_database.dat" file are you?

Ok, I looked it up in docs. Thats a level of customization I haven't reached. I associate machine tool library with IS&V.
And since were too cheap to get a post pkg. for our multiaxis, it means I'll have to build myself.
