PN-PN coupler

I am trying to communicate Siemens S7-300 CPU to ABB AC500 via Siemens PN-PN coupler 6ES7 158-3AD01-0XA0. and I am not able to communicate. Anyone can give a suggestion?

Hi Abid,

I assume you know you have provided very little information. Can you provide any more info? Do you have link lights? what version of GSD file are you using? how much data are you transmitting? etc etc

Please find below information requested as per PN-PN coupler ABB PLC configuration issue:

1. Cannot get the PN-PN Coupler to work with ABB PLC ACS500 - PM583,
2. Cannot see the “UNIVERSAL MODULE” option under the PN-PN Coupler Hardware dropdown options (import from GSDML)…see attached files for pictures,
3. We tried configuring just the IN & OUT, but does not work

You are using TIA portal, correct? Please advise what version you are using.

The universal module option is not available in TIA portal (as it was in Step 7 v 5)

You need to select a standard module, of the size you need.

Select the same on both sides.
