I need to calculate flows and the PMP flow for a project. I would like to use hydrocadd. Does hydrocadd have a PMP function?

Post your question in the HydroCad forum. I'm sure Mr. Smart knows the answer. If "PMP" means probable maximum precipitation the answer is probably no but that value can be found in many places depending where your geographic area of interest is.

good luck

HydroCAD can be used to generate a runoff hydrograph for any event, such as the PMP. However, the PMP rainfall depth is an input parameter, and must be obtained from another source, as cvg suggests. You will also need to specify an appropriate rainfall distribution, (Type I, II, etc.) or perhaps use a custom distribution, depending on the nature of the storm.

I assume that since you are developing the PMF (from the PMP) that your project is a dam. If so, you should ask the local dam safety regulator for the accepted procedure for developing the IDF for your dam.
