hello,

I want to plot stress results on ANSYS not for the entire model, but for a slice. How can I do that? I have already done the slice but when I plot results, the results that appear are the same than for the entire model.

regards,
Hugo

The best way I've found to do this is to define your working plane where you want your model to be sliced. Then go to Plotctrls->style->hidden line options. This will bring up a menu where under type of plot you select either section or q-slice (I don't remember which one). Then under cutting plane select working plane. So, when you select this it will cut away everything above or below the working plane.

Hello,

Thanks for your help. I can now plot the results for a slice. However, it shows the same values than for the whole model. How can I view results specifically for that slice?

Thanks,
Hugo
