Hi all,

I fear this question is not easier than the previous one, for which I didn't become any answers here...

This time I'd like to plot an output (for example max prin stress) along a line: I got high stress on a surface of a part, and I want to analyse the progress of the stress within the material perpendicularly to this surface. (see attached JPEG)
I could do this by picking the relevant nodes, but the problem is that these aren't aligned perpendicularly to the surface...

Is it possible to postprocess the output and to interpolate it on nodes that were added on a line after solving the system?

Thanks for your help

Simon

well, it seems that this isn't implemented (due to varying extrapolation coefficient which can affect the results accuracy), I guess I'll have to program it myself with the Femap API - if I find time for this...

cheers
