Guest
what is the radius of curvature of 3mm (aluminium) sheet.

thanks.

I have a handy chart that gives me "Minimum Bend Radii". I assume that's what you're after. The answer is: It depends on what type of aluminum you're dealing with:
For Alum 3003, H14, 5052, H22, H32, use .125" min radius;
for Alum 1100-H18, 5052-H36, 6061-T6, use .375" min radius;
for Alum 2024-T3, use .5" min radius.

Some good sources of information include: FAA Advisory Circular AC43.13-1A. USAF Technical Order 1-1A-1

General rule of thumb. 1.5*thickness of metal (inches)

If you have to come close to the minimum, consider the direction of the grain and the heat treatment of the metal. It is always better to bend against the grain (perpendicular) than with the grain. And never bend tighter than in the -O (Original) condition.
