Platic spring loaded living hinge guidelines

Does anyone have any information on the design guidelines for a spring loaded living hinge? I am referring specifically to plastic part design, similar to the type found on shampoo bottle which "spring" open once they are unlocked. Any help to specific geometric references or documented designs would help.
