I read it is bad practice to put countersunk screws in plastic, since it spreads the material. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks,
Rodney

Depends:

On what you are trying to accomplish.

On the loads involved.

On the type of plastic.

0.156" Thick, M3 screw, ABS Plastic.

Will be load bearing from Solenoid..
