I am searching for material to build a design and am trying to find plastic blocks roughly 3"x3"x3". I have done some searching on the web for plastic sales and am only finding thin sheets. Nothing this thick.

I am sure the material is out there I am just having a little trouble finidng a company that can make it. Does anyone know of companies that sell thicker sheets?

Here are a couple of different approaches to model building. The first two, General Plastics and Freeman Supply, are for pattern boards that you can cut and machined with very fine detail. The third is a company, Schupan, that carries a selection of thick plastic and has a "drop sale" with material that would fit your requirements at very attractive prices.

Last time I checked, Dotmar and E-Plas both carried thick sheet stock as semi finished mainly to supply the mining industry.

McNeall Engineering (or McNeall Plastics) can cast nylon block to your specification.

Might be a bit expensive - but have you thought of stereolithography??

Basically a 3D printer that will generate your piece from a 3D Cad drawing very precisely...

If he had specified a location, I might not have bothered to recommend suppliers in Sydney, Australia

Thanks for the replies. I think I am able to take care of it out of those suggestions.
