Hello all,

I came across an "eccentric" gear drive used in a window lift gear-motor. Shortly thereafter I started work on a project that seemed to be a perfect match for the characteristics of this gear type. The problem is I can't find any hard information. I found a short paper called "analysis of Planocentric gear" that gave a basic description of the gear type and informed me that the tooth form was not an involute but was actually a "rectilinear" type. I also found some information on Hypocycloidal gear drives, which seem to have the same characteristics.

So at this point I basically need someone to point me to a book, article, din standard, etc that gives me the equations I need to actually design one of these. Any help at all would be really appreciated. Thank you.
