Plane dimensioning value in an Equation 1

When modelling a small bearing, been trying to figure out how to make the dimension for the placement of Plane3 from the front plane of the part equal to 1/2 the (.2362) width of the bearing. (Plane will be used to mirror the revolved cut shown on the face to make a cut on the far side)

"Top" annotation view gives the pertinent dimensions, and I can click on Plane3 in the FT to show the .1181 dimension as previously entered; but when I move the cursor over to grab the .1181 dimension, it disappears. How does one capture this to place into an Equation?

Define a sketch with an equation. Then use the sketch enpoint to define the plane.

A more "graphical" approach would be to create a sketch that has a centerline constrained symmetrically, and then create a plane through that sketched line.

A simpler way would be to make a Mid-Plane extrusion in the first place.

Or if it's a revolve, position the sketch symmetrically about the Front plane.

I agree, Limey, but for ease of placement in the assemblies where it was used (and resultant relationships), I wanted the origin of the part to be on one face, rather than mid-point of the extruded solid.

Guess I could've made just one sketch and revolve about the centerline as per your second suggestion....looks like that would've been a better choice.

You can add a mate reference to the bearing such that it snaps and auto-mates when you drag it into your assembly.
