Hey everyone,

I am somewhat new to Solidworks and I was just wondering, what is the
easiest way to upload an image onto a surface of a part? I have tried
everything and can't seem to find out how to do it. Is it even possible?

Thank you for your responses!

You can do it by using decal option in photoworks. You shold be having Solidworks office for that.

It is possible to import almost any type of picture onto a sketch plane.

1 - Open sketch on surface

2 - go to tools

3 - sketch tools

4 - Sketch picture

5 - import

6 - resize

I have been using this tool for tracing round pictures using the spline tool. I'm not sure whether anything else can be done with the picture or whether it will show up on the drawing.

Sorry for pinching thread but does anyone know how to resize an entire spline without it loosing its shape?

Thanks

Try "scale" the spline with sclae command, might work might not.
