We are constructing a new concrete baffle wall inside an existing aeration basin at a WWTP. The wall is done in two pours, first is the 1' tall x 3' wide footer poured on existing concrete floor, then vertical wall is poured after. The footer was poured with #5 vertical dowels extending up 24" to tie in the wall steel. My question is, how soon after the footer is poured can we begin tying wall steel? Since this is a non structural wall and the steel is also being tied into horizontal dowels on the existing walls I don't believe there is any issue with point loading the footer. Are there any ACI standards that reference this sort of situation?
