I am providing a new piping run for LPG delivery at 10PSI to a new water heater. The run will be about 160' long, and it can either go underground or attached to a concrete wall. Underground has the inherent risk of unknown objects or other utility lines that could be hit.
Can someone recommend piping selection, and relative costs for either the underground or the wall mount?
Also if wall mount, is thermal expansion of the piping a big enough concern to put in some type of expansion loop or fitting? This will be in Hawaii. The ambient temperatures are very constant, however, the sun is quite strong and sunlit items can become very hot. The wall mount pipe run would see direct sun in the AM up until around noon.
Black steel? PTFE? other thermoplastic? Thank you very much.
