Hi All,

We have an existing culvert which carries 3 pipelines of 6" crossing an Asphalt road. These culverts are to be replaced . What precautions should we take to protect the pipes under road while replacing the culvert. The pipes are kept at a separation of 1 m from each other.

A few details , drawings or photos / sketches would help here.

How are going to "replace" the culverts when there are pipelines in them for starters.

difficult to do without digging the road up I would say.

one culvert or three?

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

Hello,
Its one culvert with 3 Pipelines in it. Will share the drawings too. The culverts are in bad shape.

These pipelines inside the box culverts are supported by sleepers.

1. If you can fit another slightly smaller D casing inside, split it, encase the pipelines and weld the casing back together. Then slide it into the larger casing.

2. Just fill the existing casing with cement grout.

3. First try number 2.
