I am looking to install a 4" cast iron check valve (flanged connection) in a vertical section of a plastic pipe. The check valve weighs 75 lbs. What would be the best way to support the valve to the wall? Are there any flanges that can connect to wall supports? Any links to products would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would go for sorting like k314 in the link below (scroll down a bit)

Basically support the flame off the wall.

You might just need to make your flange studs a fraction longer use extra long stud and bolt the support to the flange nuts with another nut.

Have to ask.

Why a cast iron check valve on a plastic pipe? Would a flanged plastic check valve work?

I'll bet there's a long story behind this one.

Littleinch,

Thanks that is perfect!

Pedarrin2,

Already have the cast iron valve and want to go with plastic pipe, as the pipe will be exposed to water a lot.
