Hi experts!

I need an advice on the physico-chemical properties of a pure Virgin Coconut Oil.

I'm working in a personal care company and 1 of our raw materials is Virgin coconut oil. We have lots of instances now that we are rejecting the supplied VCO due to observed black streaks in the oil itself somewhat like there's a smoke formation especially at the oil found at the bottom part of the bottle. The supplied VCO is being bottled in clear PET material like those of the normal bottled purified water. Our quality standard on VCO is it should be CLEAR. The supplier is also new in the industry and has insufficient knowledge on the properties of VCO. We are storing this VCO in room temp condition.

Is there anyone who can enlighten me about this black streaks in VCO? Is it bad in oils? does oxidation process already taking place? Hope there's someone who can share me some useful links to understand physico-chem properties of VCO.

Regards & God bless![thumbsup2]
