Phase Sequence of rectifier power supply

Why is it that the phase sequence of switch rectifiers are always ABC?  Why can't it be ACB or CBA?  Rotation of sequence will only affect motor rotations.

The labels A, B, C are applied arbitrarily. If you want a different sequence sent to your load, hook up the load lines for the sequence you want.

Phase sensing relays are offered by some relay manufacturers. If the three-phase phasing is &quot;wrong&quot;, actuation of three phase loads, such as some motors used in particularly critical applications, can be inhibited. One of the many reasons:<br><br>The ABC or RYB nomenclature, is to establish consistency so that operation and diagnostics is simpler.<br><br>Suppose there's a switch rectifier used in an soft start 3 ph motor control. If there's a failure of the starter, you'll contact the technical support or the trouble-shooting manual. It is easier for the manufacturer to guide you in terms of the phase names and indicator signals.
