Ive read in multiple places that the following line from the PED:
With the drawing up and the signing of the EU Declaration of Conformity, the said manufacturer takes full responsibility for the product’s compliance with applicable laws.
Means:
That the manufacturer down to the very individual signing the DOC could be held liable for any sort of negligence.
Can someone explain EU Civil vs Criminal lawsuits as pertains to PED and what liability my company is taking on as well as the liability i am taking on as the one signing the DOC?
If you could site legal document sources that would be great.
Trying to give this responsibility off to a higher up but need some evidence.
