Hello,

Is it mandatory to stamp the CE mark on the certified product? I'm talking about Cat I and II.
Is it possible not to mark the products and still comply with PED?

thanks for your help

What is the Product?

Following all the rules in the PED for a specific product, one of the requirements for full compliance, is that the product be 'CE Marked'.

Whether this is on the box, label, tag plate etc., depends on the product and what the PED allows for that product in terms of marking.

Per ISO-4126, only the term Safety Valve is used regardless of application or design.

CE mark is mandatory for cat. I and higher. Marking and labelling requirements are found in Annex 1 and the PED Guidelines.

Is it possible not to mark the products and still comply with PED?
For cat I and higher, in principle no. Unless the size is too small, as may be the case with certain relief valves. There’s a special guideline for this
