I am in the process of getting PDMWorks implemented and am working with our IT staff on the location of our vault. I've been asked for disk space requirements, but I'm really not certain what they may be because we as a company are very new to Solidworks.
We've got a bunch of legacy data (ACAD) which amounts to about 2GB. Does anyone have any rough approximations as to what 2GB of ACAD drawings would be in terms of disk space if they were to be remodeled and redrawn in SWX?
Now before anyone asks me why we would ever go through that exercise, my answer is that we're not going to. I'm just trying to get a feel for what we will require for disk space going forward.
Alternatively, would anyone be willing to share their vault sizes and rough numbers of documents stored in the vault? This would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave Gowans
