PARENT VIEW.....POOOF!!!

SW 2006 sp4.1 ... I drop an assembly into a drawing, cut a bunch of sections out of it, add some balloons and such, do some zooming, etc... then after a while the parent view is missing, the section lines remain, but no edges or anything else. The only way I have found to fix the problem is to save and kill SW, open the dwg and it's fine... I've tried a force rebuild (Ctrl-Q) edit sheet format, and go back to sheet... anything else? What's the deal here?

You shouldn't have to close and restart SW. If you read the replies on ctopher's link, you'll find several cures that work.
