Does anybody know where i can get a load table for a Paper Calmenson joist. The joist tag reads (B6022 18 28-8) it spans 28' i need to know the load it can support. thank you

Your best bet is to try to identify the joist size and type. Then you may get a copy of the Steel Joist Institute manual "75 YEAR MANUAL 1928 - 2003"(I have the previous edition and it is a great source in my library). The label tells me (my humble interpretation) that the joist may be 18 inches deep and 28 feet 8 inches long. I can not decode the other figures. They may be a mark number for the field crew to place them but not sure or may be the joist designation.

You may also contact them at (843) 626-1995 or their fax number is (843) 626-5565 and their web site is
I think they can point you in the right direction.
