I' trying to qualify a WPS per ASME section IX. This is going to be a Hard-facing overlay. Per QW-255.1, QW-403 asks for a P #, the base material is AISI 8620, which is NOT an ASME P #. Can I still qualify a WPS with PQR per ASME?
