What effect would a 70% sulfuric acid solution have on a 1 1/2 inch schedule 10 20cb3 butt weld that the root has been slightly oxidized (sugared) due to contact with oxygen caused by insufficient internal purge. The root was not actually rough and porous looking just dark greyish in appearance. What type of accelerated corrosion if any could this lead to. Thank you for any input.
