Same here. About 80%. I like it. You do have to be careful as some of you have said.

Dynamic trim works fine if you exaggerate a sketch and can clearly see the intersections with extra line sticking by for both. The best thing about the dynamic trim is you can hold down the left mouse button and trim multiple entities in one motion.



Trim Corner is the better choice when the intersection isn't so clear or if the two don't touch at all. It can trim or extend, whatever is needed. But because you have to click the two portions to keep, it can take a lot of clicks to clean multiple areas.



You need to know which tool to use to get the correct result the fastest.

I use dynamic trim 0% of the time. I think it sucks. I'm with Bernie on this one. I don't know if it is a bug or if it behaves in a less than expected manner, but I still say it sucks.

I've never had any problems with it...



My #1 rule with Dynamic Trim is to never try to pick an entity with it. I click away from the sketch geometry and use the tool like an eraser - drawing a path through segments that I want to eliminate. If the sketch is too small or intricate to fo it this way, I go for the regular trim.

As far as I can tell, haven't fully investigated yet, but I think you're forced to use dynamic trim to break a circle. It is handy as you can trim multiple entities by holding down the left button or single click to get rid of extraneous ends. However, I'm now very leary of using it as the results can be unpredictable and difficult to find and fix. If I could change the flyout default I would.



FYI this bug is very much alive and well in WF. I just tested it with Date Code 2002490 and I can reproduce the bug. It has the same problem irregardless of whether you pick an entity or select by holding down the left mouse button and sketching a curve throught the entities to trim. This bug is very easy to reproduce. When I get an answer back on the bug with PlanarSketch crashing when trying to add a circle in the Legacy Application I'll yank Tech Supports chain on this one. And I'll call it in on WF so they can't sleazy out and say they're not going to fix it in 2001.

You can change the flyout default. While in sketcher right-click on the toolbar then click on toolbars and this will put you into the customize dialog for the sketcher toolbar.
