Dear Forum members,

We intend to install 10kV, outdoor type Switch-fuse or circuit breaker units close to the Transformers for Transformer primary protection & also safety isolation during maintenance. The ambient temperatures in area of installation varies between -36 deg C & + 45 deg C. My concern is whether such outdoor type switchgears are available in market suitable for operation under the lowest ambient temperature. Is there any specific parameter or data that is be mentioned in specifying this. Does the vendor has a special design for this application? I would appreciate if anyone can throw some light on this subject.

Thanks in advance,

thanks for the link, I did check out ABB before I posted this question. ABB does not talk about ambient temperatures for this type of MV Switchgear. I checked with SCHNEIDER and they have said their product is suitable only up to -25 deg.C not -36 deg C which is required in this region
