Optimize in Assembly FEM

I am analyzing a steel space frame structure in NX Nastran. I have built the structure as assembly FEM. However I have found out that the optimization modules do not support AFem. Is there an alternative way to optimize the space frame structure?

create the Nastran input file of your model
import the .dat file in a .fem
and should have a "stand-alone" fem
