Dear Experts,

What is meaning of opt.29 shown in top of valve which is installed upstream of a thermal relief valve?

Thank you if someone shed some light in my question.

Cheers

Where did you see this?
can you give some more details?

Maybe it refers to a locking system, a valve before and after a safety should be locked open.

You need to get the legend/symbology pages for the company's P&IDs.

Good luck,
Latexman

To a ChE, the glass is always full - 1/2 air and 1/2 water.

At a guess it means option number 29.

Often p&ids have many standard configuration of valves. As others say? get the symbol legends sheets and have a look.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

Dear all,

Thank you for your replies.

I don't have symbol and legend sheet yet, but when I google it it's reach to this result:

which shown "GUIDE, VALVE (OS 0.3) OPT 11115-29G70"

As most of valves in PSV inlet/outlet lines should be Full Bore, do you think there is relation

of valve type and e.g. reduced bore, full bore,... and OPT?

Cheers

It can be anything, if we just google the word without any specific meaning or criteria.
Your link refers to automotive car parts... I got something completely different: and none of them seem to apply to what you have there.

As others said, you need to find the legend sheet or talk to a person who made the P&ID.

Option 29 doesn't have a standard meaning. What we think, given so little information, isn't relevant. This is the internet. You are not connected to the Wizard of Oz, or any higher authority. [smile][smile][smile]
