I am trying to open a pro/e drg file created in old pro/e version (may be in wildfire2)in wildfire3. But it doesn't show the file in the open window when I have file type as pro/engineer files(.prt,.asm,drw).

it shows the only if i choose all files type and then it opens in pro/e

what may be the reason for this behaviour?

pls clarify me.

r u trying to open drg od drw file???

Pro/E drawing = *.drw.*
AutoMAD drawing = *.dwg
*.drg does not compute.

It is with *.drw extension.

It is created with pro/e older versions in 1999 and updated with wildfire.

Pls reply me.

I am guessing that it could be something to do with the name of the file itself, may be with a space or special character in between or even a space after the .drw which you didn't notice. We have wildfire 3.0 here, and we open older version files all the time and never had a problem like this. If none of the above applies, just make a copy of it (save as) with a different name (shorter) and see if the copy shows up.

Could it be educational version? Just a thought...
