Hi,

I am an automobile engg, going into electronics field. Can anyone tell me the IC number of Op Amp whose excitation voltage is 5V?

Does LM741 take 5V supply voltage?

Thanks

The old 741 does not. The 324 is one example that is being used for less critical applications. Then you have a lot of very, very precise, low-power and fast opamps working off 5 V and down to "single cell voltage" - or about 1.2 V. Have a look at Maxim, Linear Technology, National Semiconductor, Texas, Motorola - I know, they have a new name, but I refuse to use it. Sounds too outlandish for mee.

There are many parameters to consider. Go to the list of makers suggested by skog and browse into their selection guides. You will have a better idea of the parameters that are important to you. (single or double supply, rail-to-rail outputs and inputs)

Microchip has a family of single-supply rail-to-rail op-amps designed for 5V. Some have unique and somewhat attractive features.
