I need to pump hot oil (150 F) into a heat exchanger at multiple flow rates (max 5 gpm). Can anyone recomend a cheap pump that will be able to pump this hot oil (SAE 10) at a variable flow rate.

Someone had previously remonded a drill pump that hooks up to a normal hand drill.

Thank you for your comments

This sounds like a school lab project. Is it?
If so, how much is 'cheap'?

Yes, i am willing to spend up to $100 or so.

Have you checked with a lab supplier?
Chances are that the pumps you might be recommended here will be a little more than that.
I was thinking of something similar to what I have in my waste oil sampling headers, but those run along a few thousands.
Sorry, I can't help you much.

Well, poke around in the junkyard some. Or if you're feeling flush, go an auto parts store and buy a car's oil pump. Chuck the shaft in your Dad's 1/2" drill, and there's your pump.
