We are trying to decide on an air compressor design for a specialty application. A couple main requirements are compact design, oil free operation, approx 5-10cfm at 100psi. Scroll seems like the right choice for this and oil free is becoming hot BUT how? What are the tips seals made from? What are the scrolls made from? What is the service life of such systems? Our compressor need does not need any extreme service life but in operation, will need to operate near a 100% duty cycle.
