I need help to calculate oil flow rate on lube system on a triplex pump. I have a 1" input lube manifold that is 3.5 ft long. On One side is the input and the other side is plugged.
Three, 1/4 " dia, 1 ft long hoses are connected (90 degree to manifold)to the lube manifold at 10 inches away from each other.
Two,1/2 " dia 2 ft long hoses are connected at each end (same as above), one after the input and one at the other end just before the plugged end is.
I do know the manufacturers has told me, the gear pump used to pump oil to the plunger pump is a 35 gpm pump. Manufacturer recommends to use( SAE 220 90 wt Gear oil), the system should maintain a pressure of 70-100 psi in the system.
